J\u00e4rvakandi Glass Studio is one of them. The glass studio produces beautiful coloured vases, bases and much more. <\/p>\n Coloured glass is usually made by adding mineral or metal oxides during the melting of the glass.<\/p>\n To start with, ordinary glass is made, usually consisting of basic ingredients such as sand (silica), soda ash (soda ash) and lime (calcium oxide) fused together at high temperatures.<\/p>\n Addition of colouring agents<\/strong>: during the melting process, the desired mineral or metal oxides are added for colouring. For example: <\/p>\n Iron oxide gives a red, brown or pink colour.<\/p>\n Cobalt oxide gives the colour blue.<\/p>\n Copper oxide gives green colour.<\/p>\n Selenium oxide gives the red colour.<\/p>\n Chromium oxide gives a green colour.<\/p>\n Mixing<\/strong>: the colourant is thoroughly mixed with the melted glass to achieve a uniform and desired colour shade.<\/p>\n Shaping and cooling<\/strong>: once the paint is evenly mixed, the glass can be shaped to the desired shape and size.
