Beautiful crystal glasses are the centrepiece of any festive table.
Crystal glass, or leaded glass, has been in use around the world for a very long time. Because of their beautiful transparency and brilliance, they are used to make beautiful tableware, decorations and also, for example, chandeliers.
The manufacture of crystal glass dates back to ancient Rome, and early crystal glass was produced in several European countries from the Middle Ages onwards. The use and production of crystal glass became particularly popular in Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries, especially in Bohemia (now the Czech Republic), where many high quality crystal glasses were produced.
There are different types of glasses in our Dreaming Gift Shop. Here you can also find Murano glasses, for example.
How to care for crystal glass?
Handle with care: Crystal glasses are usually fragile, so handle with care to avoid scratches or cracks.
Washing by hand or in the dishwasher: always wash crystal glasses with warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid using hot water, as this may damage the crystal. Do not use harsh detergents or harsh detergent soaps to avoid scratches.
Drying: after washing, gently dry the crystal glasses with a clean, soft cloth to avoid water splash marks or stains.
Storage: store crystal glasses in a safe and stable place to prevent them from falling or breaking. A soft lining can also be used in the storage area to prevent the glasses from rubbing against each other.
Cleaning: crystal glasses need regular cleaning to avoid dust and dirt accumulation.
Always follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and the instructions on the label for the maintenance of crystal glass, as different types of glass may require different maintenance.
