Uneleja bedding

Uneleja's own bedding collection: patterns by Finnish, Estonian, Danish and German designers, produced in limited editions, mostly in Italian ELITE cotton sateen (TC 300, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I). The sets are sewn in Estonia.

Uneleja bedding is Uneleja’s own bedding collection, where every pattern is a designer’s work and every set is produced in a limited edition. Most sets are made from Italian ELITE cotton sateen with a 300 thread count, certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Product Class I. The sets are sewn in Estonia. The collection includes bedding for adults and children in sizes from 100 x 135 cm to 200 x 220 cm.

What makes Uneleja bedding different?

  • Designer patterns. The patterns are created by Finnish designer Irina Ylänne, Estonian artist Lumimari, Estonian designer Kristel Laurits (based in Denmark), Danish pattern designer Nanna Gomaa and German design studio Breitenbach und Töchter. Cornflowers and Flower Dream were commissioned by Uneleja and are exclusive to Uneleja.
  • Limited editions. The entire collection is produced in limited quantities, so you won’t find the same pattern in mass-market stores.
  • Sewn in Estonia. Uneleja bedding is sewn in Estonia. The only exception is Flower Dream, whose fabric, print and sewing come from Germany.
  • Reversible designs. Most duvet covers have a different pattern on each side, digitally printed onto the fabric.
  • Thoughtful details. Most duvet covers have openings that make inserting the duvet easier, and the fabric allows for shrinkage in the first wash.
  • A bedtime story for children. Children’s sets come with a bedtime story by Hilli Rand, written for that specific pattern. For orders shipped outside Estonia, we include the story in English.

What is Uneleja bedding made of, and is it good for your skin?

Most Uneleja sets are made from 100% cotton Italian ELITE sateen. This fabric has three qualities that matter for your skin:

  • Long-staple combed cotton. Combing removes the short fibres, so the yarn is smoother and stronger. The fabric stays soft and is less prone to pilling than fabric made from short-staple cotton.
  • Sateen weave and TC 300. The sateen weave leaves more long yarn floats on the surface, giving the fabric a smooth feel and subtle sheen. A 300 thread count makes the fabric soft yet durable.
  • OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Product Class I. The fabric has been tested for harmful substances by an independent laboratory. Product Class I is the standard’s strictest class, intended for baby articles.

Cotton is a natural, breathable fibre that absorbs moisture better than polyester or microfibre. There are a few exceptions worth knowing:

  • Full Moon, Berries and In the Green are made from Polish cotton sateen, which is not OEKO-TEX certified.
  • Flower Dream is made from cotton jersey, which is soft and stretchy.

The exact material of each set is listed on its product page.

Is Uneleja bedding more expensive than others?

Uneleja bedding is not the cheapest option, and you can find cotton sateen and cotton jersey bedding for less. The price reflects how and from what each set is made:

  • certified Italian ELITE fabric;
  • sewing in Estonia;
  • designer patterns, some of them exclusive;
  • reversible digital printing;
  • limited editions.

Adult sets cost roughly €69–149 at regular price, and children’s sets roughly €45–79, depending on size and pattern. As a loyalty customer, you receive a discount under our loyalty terms, and some sets are occasionally available in our Sale.

How to find the right set

  • By pattern – each pattern has its own page with all available sizes.
  • By size – sets are grouped by duvet cover and pillowcase size. Custom sizes are not available, so measure your duvet and pillow before ordering.
  • Children’s bedding – smaller sets with a bedtime story.
  • A set includes a duvet cover and pillowcase(s). You’ll find matching sateen fitted sheets in Bed sheets.
