The White Marble Matcha Tea Set has everything you need to prepare matcha the traditional way. It includes a 320 ml white matcha bowl with gold veining, an 80-prong bamboo whisk, a white ceramic whisk holder and a bamboo scoop. A White Matcha Bowl with Kintsugi-Style Gold Veining
Fine gold veins run through the bowl’s soft white glaze, recalling marble and the Japanese art of kintsugi, in which broken pottery is repaired with gold. The bowl takes inspiration from that tradition. According to the manufacturer, the veining is real gold leaf applied by hand. That’s why the pattern is different on every bowl, and yours may look slightly different from the photos.

The bowl’s wide, open shape gives the whisk plenty of room to move. That makes it easy to work air into the matcha for a smooth, creamy froth. The shape is especially well suited to usucha, the thinner, frothy style of matcha most people drink.
Bamboo Whisk, Holder and Scoop
The 80-prong bamboo whisk (chasen) whips matcha into a fine, silky foam. The white ceramic whisk holder helps the whisk dry properly and keep its shape. The bamboo scoop (chashaku) makes it easy to portion out matcha powder consistently. Bamboo is a renewable material.
How to Prepare Matcha
- Warm the bowl with hot water, pour the water out and dry the bowl.
- Add 1–2 scoops of matcha with the chashaku. Sift the powder first if you like.
- Pour in 60–80 ml of water at about 70–80 °C (160–175 °F).
- Whisk briskly in an “M” or “W” motion until a fine foam forms.
- Rinse the whisk and leave it to dry on the holder.

Care
- Bowl: wash gently by hand and avoid abrasive cleaners. Because of the gold detailing, it is not microwave safe and is not recommended for the dishwasher.
- Whisk: soak the prongs briefly before use. After use, rinse the whisk and let it air-dry on the holder. Do not soak the handle.
- Scoop: wipe clean and store somewhere dry.
